GP selecting in dopesheet while editing should change to pertainent GP object also
I have multiple GP objects. When I am in Drawmode, I would like to select a layer to draw in from the Dopesheet(greasepencil). I would like it to automatically switch to the GP object that houses the layer that I select and remain in drawmode so I can seamlessly draw in that layer without exiting to objectmode- selecting the other GP object- selecting a layer- and going back to drawmode. Thank you for consideration.

I proposed it last year and yes it would be great :) blender.community/c/rightclickselect/m5cbbc/
* @Romain Guimbal * Indeed. How can we still not have this a year later? I'd hate to bother Antonio on all of his social media. This site is supposed to avoid that. thx
* @j_infla * Yeah, totally agree. So many things to add however, and for others softwares we wouldn't even be able to ask without being a big company
* @Romain Guimbal * the GP eyedropper tool made it into 2.82. This can select a color in the view and then it switches to that material so you can continue to draw with it. It also can create meterials by clicking in view.
My proposal is to use this same eyedropper to select a layer in the dope sheet and have it (switch to the correct object) and now you will be able to draw in the selected layer. How can we get this post reviewed by the powers that be? thx
* @Romain Guimbal * I use this work around. Have 2 dopesheets open side by side. I select the object 1st. then select the layer (2) (it stays in the drawMode even though i switched the object. ) {attachment dopejpg}
* @j_infla * they will probably read it and may already have the idea in mind for months, but you know how busy they are
