actually I don't want to change the default of blender, I can actually change it in the keymap, but if the feature exists (double click for select_lingked), it might help without having to change the default blender settings. Thank you

* As noted, the feature itself does already exist. You just need to map it yourself.

Quite useful and already possible, you just need to tweak the keymap. You can even deselect linked.
Are you proposing a feature or suggesting an update to the default keymap? As noted, this is already possible to set up yourself.
