Change tranformation Pivot while performing a transformation

I often start resizing or rotating around the wrong pivot (usually either BBox center or cursor) and when I realize it I have to abort the operation, press either , or . and then start again the transform. Wouldn't it be cool to have a modifier key that cycles through the pivots ( , back . forth maybe?) while already performing the transform?

By the way this is a sibling of these two proposals ( 1 , 2 ), they are a Trilogy, ideally grouped together under a comprehensive proposal named "More modifier keys for transform operations (that could improve our lives!)"
