Sticky notes for node graphs

Geometry nodes, shader nodes, compositor nodes!!

They're all getting better and people are making more and more complex node trees.

It would be nice to be able to annotate a node graph/tree with text boxes so a peer could handle your file.

There has been a few proposals for different forms of nodes in the nodes editors, but most importantly, for enhancing the existing solutions for notes and other forms of node documentations. Which we have quite a few already. They definitely need improvements, but please have a look at what we have, and the improvements proposals we already had, and go from there :)

Firstly, the frame node:

You can use the annotate tool to scrible text, figures, lines, polygons, anything you want. And we also have reroute nodes that let you sprinkle some simple strings of text without the visual clutter a frame node could bring:

Frames can also act as parents when you place a node or a retoute inside it (to unparent them, press F while moving them):

There are also some existing feature requests to expand the node trees documentation capabilities, e.g. to have a note section in the sidebar for each node (there's been an addon for it ):

yes I saw the same answer to another similar request. This is exactly not what I'm looking for. A simple ctrl+n - sticky note would do much better. Like in Unity, Nuke...

I've found an addon that does that in the meantime thanks to Pablo. Thank you for your help!

As someone who has requested a similar feature (albeit with the ability to use the note's string), I didn't know that there are examples of this feature existing in other Node Editors, especially since I don't use Nuke.

In the "Adding Notes to the Node Graph" section of the Nuke Documentation it outlines what the StickyNote Node is, which what I'm assuming you're referring to. It says that the StickyNote node has to ability to display HTML mark-up, which is pretty above and beyond the capabilities that I had even thought of. Do you use Nuke currently? Would you please tell me if you use the StickyNote Node very often and if you ever use its more advanced functionality?
