Background colors for Outliner
I would love to see the same color of the colletion applied to the background of the entire collection items. Just like the layer´s colors in photoshop. Something like this:

Could be useful, but definitely only as an option not always.
Soo..what about color when duplicate collection? Copy or default? Anyway with this color can have sense maybe. I think that triangles also or only can have related color and this can be good indicator about related collection.
I feel this might interfere with the selection UI. note that selections highlight in 2 colors, and those colors would need to be off-limits, but even then, having a number of highlighted things would be confusing, because it might be light and dark oranges, next to blues, next to reds. I think colored text, or only coloring behind the icon would be better.
Selections need to be much more visible, and the easiest way to do that is with color. by adding arbitrary colors to areas that might also be selected, you make it so selections are not immediately visible.
