import any supported file format by dragging from explorer directly to the 3d view. Pop up options could appear with various options such as, import all, import by object name, plus all of the standard import options you'd find if importing via the import menu.

* @IIIFGIII * bloody hell, I did a search as well. I think for this site what would be a good idea is once someone spots that a duplicate topic has been raised, an admin should be able to combine the upvotes, so it wouldnt matter if multiple similar topics are open.

* @3d illusions * Emm ... in this case key word is " drag and drop " - kind of predictable. Combine similar suggestuons is old request but still not here. But you can try your luck here ( Dillo page on GitHub) and another time, again bring up this request :)

As for drag and drop, It would be good to start with blend files and textures. Textures get loaded, but only one, and not a multi selection. Thats a bit sad.

Well, It would also be good to have just an import option, and not to have to choose the import format before. So the option could appear, depending to the file format in the file browser. Easier if you first want to check which format you need.

I would save a lot of time with this. I have found myself drag and drop and.. well build a library of blends to do this - but it's a huge time burn.
