Memory Profiler

So I've been working on this big project and I've run into memory issues several times. A few days ago I was rendering on CPU and blender was reporting 18gb of ram usage. I reduced some poly's and lowered the resolution of my textures and got it down to 8gb, but that's still ridiculous.

Here's the problem, I have no idea what exactly in my project is consuming so much ram. The only way I can solve the issue is to reduce literally everything and hope it helps.

I propose a memory profiler similar to Unity's recent addition. It would break down everything that is using considerable amounts of ram and allow me to remove or replace or change something about it. It should show any large textures and all the materials that are using that texture. It should show also show any models with high poly counts.

This might be a duplicate of Scene profiler

* @Josephbburg * Maybe the two post ends with different proposals for the same problem, but it is great that they are linked. Thank you. My vote to the two suggestions.

Agree. It will be extra useful for all who make big scenes! At list user will know what to sacrifice
