Export as .Blend
I was working with some CAD Models that i had to scale properly and than make separate Blend file for each Model so that different we can work on it in parallel i was hoping if there could be a feature as export as .blend which would export the model with materials, modifiers to a new blend file similar to the way export .fbx .stl does.

Already suggested at least three times- 23 Oct 2019 Save as - add 'Selected Objects' and ' Active Collection' , 08 Oct 2019 Save Selected Objects to .Blend , 26 May Export/Save As, Selected Objects, as Blend file.
You can do it in oposite way. Save your .blend file with all models, materials, modifiers. Then do Append for each model to new empty file - it will append object with it's modifiers, materials and anything else related to this object.
* @IIIFGIII * found out it possible with python thanks to Sybren A. Stüvel. docs.blender.org/api/master/bpy.types.BlendDataLibraries.html
Hi, I've released an addon to Export as Blend file :
github.com/Tilapiatsu/blender-export_as_blend/releases/tag/1.0.0
I hope it can help you
bruh. this does not save file in blender 3.2.1
Other option is to just ctrl + C on the objects, ctrl + N for new scene/paste in and Save that, but still annoying.
That python script below looks interesting though, I may have to mess with that.
* @Matt L * the code creates a new blend file but the data is only in the blend file and not the active scene. i am working on an addon how to finish it soon
* @SHEIKH AMAD * Very cool! Thank you
