New UV channel for all selected objects

The idea is pretty simple. Create a new UV channel fro all selected objects when you hit the "+" button. It is more intuitive than creating just for active object.

The more flexible way is to have a popup menu which asks for what you want to do:

  1. "Create for selected objects" or "Create UV channel to the active object "
  2. Also, the popup menu should ask for how to name the new UV channel.

Also, check other proposals on the UV thread

Seems like something that Alt+click behavior for multiple selections should be extended to support.

* @Jason van Gumster * This really really needs to be consistent with every single UI entry.

* @Jason van Gumster * The alt-click behavior just needs to go away entirely and this aspect of Blender just works like every other piece of software ever made. That's a rant/proposal for another day I suppose.

This kind of system should be available for many things like vertex colors, vertex groups and materials. It could be just a simple query after pressing the + whether the user wants to create the new parameters just for the active object or all selected objects if multiple objects are selected.

I was looking for this to be in default behavior . Why is this not in the default behavior for Blender ??? I think it's a bug with multiple object selection . @BlenderDevs this should be in the default behavior state .

testure

* @giakaama * There's a task to improve it: developer.blender.org/T54862

* @testure * The task says Resolved. And I don't see anything about a second UV channel . They are talking only about transform & stuff . :(((
