Changing defaults for animation workflow
There are some useful changes for defaults for animation workflow.
Because right now that is not a nice way to make animators jump into blender.
Defaults should be changed to:
PREFERENCES - ANIMATION
-
Autokeyframing
- Only insert available to ON
-
F-Curves:
- Default smoothing mode to NONE
TIMELINE
- Sync visible range to ON
GRAPH EDITOR
- Only selected curve keyframes to ON
- Sync visible range to ON
DOPESHEET
- Show group colors to OFF
- Sync visible range to ON
Defaults hotkeys should be changed in Pose mode and Graph editor/Dopesheet for Mirror (Ctrl+M) , Insert keyframes (I, Shift+I) and Frame all (home) to somewhere to the left part of a keyboard, e.g. Frame all to 'F', Mirror to 'E", Insert keyframes to 'D'. Also would be useful to set default hotkeys for flip active and flip active extend to shft+F anf ctrl+shift+F respectively

Also please take a look at this, it isn't a change to the defaults, but it is an animation UX issue: blender.community/c/rightclickselect/X2dbbc/
Upvoted, by the way.
Only Selected Keyframe Handles shouuld be ON not off, the rest i agree on everything. Also most or all of these settings should be moved to preferences because they're more of a USER preference than a "file to file" thing.
* @Luciano A. Muñoz Sessarego * Keyframes Handles is ON by default, so I just delete it from the list. Which one should be moved to preferences?
Ah yeah autokeyframe leave it off too but these should be in preferences not in the menu
* @Luciano A. Muñoz Sessarego * I would leave keyframes handles 'file 2 file'. I use mostly graph editor so u move and or align handles quite often (it is way faster to select handles you need than deselect needless) and if that handle option in the preferences it would be a bit anoying to switch it back and forth
Only selected curve keyframes to ON -> This would require being able to select curves as well, with that change everything would be much better
Being able to change values to several keyframes at once in the Graph Editor.
* @Juan Gabriel * This is a feature request and it should be claimed in separate post
