Snapping two objects together
I think there should be an easier way to snap two objects together (in object mode).
In other software, you can select the start point then the end point.
Blender currently just kind of guesses the start point - even if you use the new menu.
For example, in Fusion 360 you can hover your mouse over the first object and the cursor jumps around to various snap points. Then you just select the snap point on the target object and you're done.
It's actually so bad in Blender that the first object sometimes moves away from the target object you're trying to snap to.
Seems like an easy feature to add.
EDIT:
Here's a youtube video of it in action youtu.be/EejRr-Y3174
And a menu sample:

Do you really mean in oject mode? Fusion 360 is somewhat the equivalent of blender's edit mode. But if your saying to have this option in object mode, I think that would also be a nice.
I have tried addons that has some functions similar to this but I forgot the name. Maybe you can find it on this blogpost for 2.8 addons. blenderartists.org/t/list-of-addons-that-work-with-2-8/1132912
The only difference is you have to click multple vertexes compared to fusion 360 where you just have to click one.
This feauture is good, whatI am not certain is if it will in most cases work. Fusion 360 and other cad as far as I curently know they are more predifined and constrained because it is more focused on precision modeling. The parameters are somewhat automated already which maybe the reason there are functions that are just one click away.
I am not entirely sure if what I am saying is accurate but I hope you don't misunderstand some of my opinions.
Duplicate of this CAD-like snapping objects (by basepoint)
This seems to be a duplicate of many of the existing snapping proposals here. Do you have a specific suggestion that differs from them?
* @Jason van Gumster * Strange. I did a search for questions like before posting and didn't find any. Are you sure they mention clicking a point on each object before snapping?
* @gatzkerob * Ah. I'd misread what you'd referred to there. In that case, it's not a duplicate, but it is kind of incomplete. What is the exact interaction you're envisioning within Blender? How do you make it consistent with Blender's existing snapping mechanism and means of moving objects? Can you provide mock-up images that shows how you imagine it working?

* @gatzkerob * It's not sufficient to link to another application's YouTube video. Even with adopting some other application's way of working, Blender still has its own different approach to things. An actionable proposal really needs to have this thought-through from the perspective of how Blender works and doing it in such a way that it feels properly integrated.
* @Jason van Gumster * Not to get into a debate or anything, but I feel like I've explained it pretty well. I've described how it should work and provided a visual representation of how it works in another application.
I don't know how the underlying mechanics of Blender work, in a programming sense, but if I was on the dev team and saw that video, I'd know exactly how to start implementing it. Unfortunately I don't know Python so I can't whip up a quick script.
It's actually been done in Blender, but it's a paid addon. It's a lot like the video I posted. I'd link it but I don't want to get flagged as an advertiser.
* @Jason van Gumster * Juat re-reading your previous comment - I'll try to make some images of what I mean
* @Jason van Gumster * Here's a very primitive suggestion:
* @gatzkerob * If there's an example in the form of an add-on, go ahead and link it. I'm pretty much the only moderator for RCS, so no worries on being flagged.
* @Jason van Gumster * Sorry, it's another video :) youtu.be/2XCvYmMLf1M
