'auto apply after scale' feature

This feature would be very handy, especially for people working in design and architecture. In the starting fase of a design, its common to start with basic volumes and play with the position and scale of them. Of course, it is important to keep track of the measurements of them as well. This is where the problem arises: when scaling an object in object mode, measurements in edit mode become transformed as well and show incorrect values. You can prevent this by using the 'apply transformations' action. However, doing this everytime you scale (which can be often) is very tedious. If you forget this one time, you will run into problems later on with wrong measurements, which can lead to frustration. A solution I could see for this problem would be to have an 'auto-apply for scale' checkbox. Turning this on would automatically apply object scale after any scale transformation in object mode level. This prevents you from having to tediosly do the 'apply transformations' action everytime after any scale.
