Why did you guys change the modifiers layout including the multi-column?we though it'll be adding only drag& drop not ruining the modifiers stack now it's the worse thing that has ever happened, if this is going to be done to the constraints... then we might already say goodbye to blender.

* You don't have to be a dick, he got a point .eveything nodes won't solve anything & it will probably take years before we can actually see it or ready for use, but the modifiers stack has been there for years and worked flawlessly , why suddenly change the layout? Blender devs should stop doing these radical and unnecessary changes when it's not needed and destroying muscle memory & workflow..wait until the 2.90 release and you'll see tons of complains about it then they'll have to listen again.

@Pascal 0
* Well, just take a look at what the most requested feature at RCS was. This change was planned for months now and I think what they did was right. They listened to the community, not to 2 guys thinking it was a bad idea. The only thing problematic is, that the delete feature is more or less hidden. *
BUT: Only beginners will have problems with this.
* So, in order to make Blender more beginner friendly, they should give a hint for that (with a tooltip, ...).

@Blender Defender
* most requested feature is drag & drop only not altering the layout and ruining the user experience so you assessment is wrong, people didn't expect these changes and the majority are not yet aware of it because it's only done in 2.90 alpha and not the official stable version, the excuse of "beginners" is always lame because people don't remain beginners for long , few weeks or months and then they'll wish for better & faster workflow.
If you look at the devtalk you'll see many people already complaining and creating new threads so the numbers will increase with more people becoming aware of this horrible decision....you call yourself blender defender and promoting subscription to your channel yet can't defend common sense. pff

@Pascal 0
* The "excuse of beginners" wasn't a excuse, but actually the only critique I have about this change. And I HATE it when something in Blender is not beginner friendly because I still remember the time I started out with Blender. So the words "Beginners will have Problems with it" in my mouth are huge critique and no excuse.
I know about the problem with better and faster workflow, and they talked about it in the stream, but I can repeat it if you didn't watch the stream:
The layout isn't final yet and they are open for feedback, but good feedback should be constructive, not destructive and rude. For quickly deleting modifiers, Shortcuts may be an option.
By the way: This drag and drop thing is already a huge step to a fast workflow arranging the modifiers stack. Just follow along
Josh Gambrell's Tutorial about the modifiers stack
with both versions, 2.83 and 2.90, you will see what I mean.
Talking about
your
excuse
most people don't even know about it
:
That's wrong, the big names like "CG Geek", "ASKnK",
"Jaynam" (constructive critique about the feature HERE!)
, ... (Think about them what you want") are using Alpha and Beta versions, so do their Followers.
So many people are talking about this but almost nobody knows about it?
That makes absolutely no sense! With every change in Blender there are people thinking it was wrong and thinking it was right and both numbers will increase, people thinking it was right and people thinking it was wrong.
So everything left to say is:
You call yourself blender defender and promoting subscription to your channel yet can't defend common sense. pff
You got some really good arguments in your answer to my post, but it seems like you misunderstood the word "common sense". Or do you think being rude in forums is part of
"common sense"
. If you want to complain about a change in Blender, be constructive, make a proposal about how it could be done in a better way and not destructive, and say things like "It's horrible, back then everything was fine, I want to go to the good old days, ...". That sounds like a pensioner talking about the present (Corona Virus excluded)! And attacking someone personally is the last thing that will be recognized as common sense.
You can answer this comment, but:
I won't waste any lifetime answering back
If you think you've got a good answer, write it down, wait a day and then read and think about it before posting it!

Hi there guys!
it's super great to have a roadmap that we can trust, thanks for this team! :D
Regarding point cloud, may enter in the eevee plans to have a shadowcatcher so we can mix eevee rendered point cloud with Cycles render, because even having Cycles render capability, with very dense point clouds (100 million points for example) being able to render that with eevee could be very helpful, specially with Motion Blur!! :)
What is your most requested feature for blender or what are you looking forward to see?
Question 2: Are they any rigging courses planned for blender cloud?
Question 3: What is the next open movie? Coffee Run was really cool.

Hello Pablo, Love the show. Can you explain why the Nightly Builds are not being updated?
Is 2.83 still in Beta or is it released?
Lastly, I think that the Optix Viewport DeNoiser for Non_Rtx cards should be included with the 2.83 LTS release. Unless there is some deal with Nvidia to sell new RTX cards to newbees...
It was bad enough that I had to buy a new computer just because of Eevee which is becoming more and more obsolete.

Hola Pablo! Two questions:
Are there any plans to add a layer system into the image/texture-paint editors? With 'simple' stuff like allowing brushes within the image editor and layers, blender could eventually become a tool for digital painting too!
Also, I would like to draw some attention to the bevel modifier; it's been improved a lot recently, specially thanks to face weight support, custom profiles... But there is one little thing that needs improvement, and that is the fact that 'mark seams' adds the seams
not at the center of the bevel but at the outside
, which doesnt make any practical sense. Could this request get some love?

Hola pablo, qué tal.
I've tried to build blender with the sculpt vertex color patch
developer.blender.org/D5975
on windows ( i learnt it is possible in your pablo dobarro, julien kaspar and jama jurabaev blender today stream, i got excited and tried to do it myself without knowing anything about git, repositories or compiling). I somehow found the way to do it but when trying to apply the patch it shows does not apply errors (i tried every --whitespace, --reject... thing without any luck). Is it because the patch is no longer applycable to the master branch or am i missing something?
Btw it feels great to just type make update and make to have the latest blender stuff to try :).

<h6>Hi Pablo, how are you?

I'd like to know more about performance enhancing settings in Blender, i.e. in the System Preferences, should one select only the GPU, both GPU and CPU, when should the CPU be used instead of GPU and what is the memory cache limit down below referring to, RAM or VRAM? and what settings improve performance in Sculpting?

Any chance to get liquid simulation to use ocean modifier as base velocity? basically i'm trying to do somekind of Houdini Ocean Flat Tank Sim. Combining Ocean Spectrum and Liquid Sim?
Is there going to be any improvement on Cycle for dealing with a complex transparent object ie a complex hair mesh. Currently we have to increase the transparency sample to 34-64 but as we know that increase the rendering time a lot.
