Bevel modifier - allow clamp overlap to only affect relevant regions of the mesh
When working with a large complicated model, some areas of the mesh may be more dense than others. If you add a bevel modifier, clamp overlap will kick in to prevent artifacts in these dense regions (useful), but the same limit will be applied across the entire model, and so the less dense regions that could still have a bevel applied without artifacts suffer with tiny or sometimes non existent bevelling. This even happens across mesh islands where the vertices aren't even linked (to test: add a bevel modifier with a large amount to a cube, duplicate all vertices in edit mode and scale down the copy until the bevel vanishes). There should be a check box that allows the clamp overlap to vary the limit it places on the bevel amount across a mesh, based on the geometry surrounding each part of the bevel. I realise this would often produce skewed bevels in but it would be useful in lots of cases.

Duplicates:
i am aware of one addon called. "Slow bevel " please do checkout. youtube.com/watch . for modifier i think there is no way except weight to control.
Besides this being a duplicate, you will likely want to watch this 1 hour long video on bevel at bcon: youtube.com/watch
There's a reason it's that long. Don't just skip it because of that length.
