Color Coded Markers.
It would be nice to have color coded markers like this, so you would know where it starts and where it finishes ,I also added a visiblity toggle for the colored bars if they're distracting.
You can change the color and the name based on the active selected and gray out the option when multiple markers are selected.
The only issue i could imagine without testing, is if you move the marker then the color has to follow or it stays in the first creation order but i leave it to the Devs to figure out the technical & design apporch to to how it should be done properly.

just suggested the exact same thing, great to see somebody else having the same idea, in my opinion a slight tint in the corresponding color to the timeline itself could also help readability
Really necessary, but I would add that the markers with color. Sometimes I have to mark BPM and I find it difficult to differentiate from transition markers or others.

Yes please.. I use markers a lot, and just a little blip to show where it is instead of using them like markers for chapters in time - the latter would make sense.
