Cut and paste Curves - Grease pencil

Looks it's this same issue like for Cut and paste mesh, etc. If it's not possible for GP, then need this, eg. want cut and paste curves on other layer or to other GP_object (I know that by RCM can move to layer)

You can already. In edit mode. Using Ctrl C Ctrl V or Shift D . And you can move stuff around layers via M .

* @-L0Lock- * Why cut is not available or can't be as norma? This always need delete after ctr+c, delete, ctr+v

  • it's regresion around OS

* @ManBlender * Well, of course if you copy and paste in order to cut and paste, it's an issue ; but that's because it's not how it's done. There's no need to cut paste in the first place. Just move stuff around layers, it's the same, and with less user actions.

And what about diferent Strokes object like Empty, etc? This limiting. blender.community/c/rightclickselect/1whbbc/

* @ManBlender * Oh yes in this case an actual cut-paste would be preferable.

Though, moving data between objects is not something often needed in 3D (more often than not we have the data where it is needed in the first place, or it's more about joining objects into one or separating data into several objects rather than moving data from one object to the other), so I would be curious to know in what scenario you need to move data across objects?

* @-L0Lock- * well.. it's limiting, I often looking advanced functions and solutions for simple things. Blender should think in this think: if we creating something, and this is object, should be available in any place, as in python (everything is object) - the conclusion was similar I think for "everything node" (but in fact object). Soo.. ned more freedom around operation on this objects.

Can't agree with this totaly. Not sure what is source of this opinion. For me is natural this type moves as eveolution, interation of projects..

The sense of move is realtion around parenting and building hierarchy without conflicts (around objets). In GreasePencil is relatedsimilar but parenting as animation controled by diferent objects. I changed mind about eyebrows betwen characters :D decided to change.. You maybe thinks that was just stroke and curve.. I spent many time to draw this as beatiful and davanced to animate. Many cases to do this. Last time similar around organisation of some menu for game in UPBGE..

I still mising the Adobe Animation object with internal time line and instance to own scripting. This can be something, in other way we must be very ccareful in long projects and changes. Especialy now around Interpolations.

* @ManBlender * If I understand, what you are saying is that within an animation, you transfer strokes from one object to another in order to perform object-level rotations around origin points that change over time?

* @-L0Lock- * Something like this, but have more cases where this operation to move something betwen object have pratical sense and can offer efficiency of work.
