[ADDED IN 2.91] Improve snapping mode inside tool operations
(updating this post to Done because vertex/edge slide snapping has been added in 2.91. Gotta love the devs <3 )
Problem: Right now if you for example want to edge-slide (GG), the only a available snapping option is the fixed grid incremental.
Solution: Make so that snapping inside tool operations, respects the same settings as global snapping configuration (example: if if snapping is set to vertex, then holding Ctrl while in edge slide mode will snap it to the vertex that's under the cursor)
I think there are more tools that share this limitation, but right now I can only mention edge slide since it was the one that drove me to start this discussion!

This is mentioned in Snapping & precision modeling improvements at developer.blender.org . Don't know when it will come though.
* @ Symstract * oh this is actually great news :D
not same idea exactly but actually I just did a tool to snap to face center :) github.com/1C0D/Tool_snap_cursor_2_face_center-for-Blender and maybe later more options like snap to vertices and middles edges.
2.9 New snapping hope the devs fixed
* @sebbosebbo267 * You're right! This was actually already added in 2.91 :D
I updated the post, thanks for reminding me!
About slide snap there are already two suggestions ( first , second )
* @IIIFGIII * If this issue is often raised by users, shouldn't the developers pay attention to it? Or at least comment on the perspective of this function?
* @Zorgos * Emmm ... Nope. Look at TOP of RCS. Some things stay on top for ever and still not implemented. Don't wait too much from this place. Things not work like today u post suggestion, next week it's done.
How much I've been waiting for this feature to come out!! I've written about this problem in all forums, but I've been ignored, is it possible to add this feature to version 2.9?
I did this new one youtube.com/watch
How can this suggestion be communicated to the developers?
Yes please! )
