Hola Pablo from Australia (at 1am as usual)! Two things:
I look forward every week to hearing you call out 'Hola Community!', you are a lovely ray of sunshine in our Blender community. ^_^
I have created a RCS proposal for the concept of "Lists" in Geometry Nodes, I believe it would solve many problems, would love it if gave it a quick peek:

Hi Pablo!
I'm interested in joining the development team, I downloaded the source code and the libraries and fortunately managed to compiled it and run it using Visual Studio (yeei). But I don't know where to start, what to look, I'm too lost in the hundred projects. What do you suggest?

Hi Pablo, are there any plans to improve Weight and Vertex Paint performance? Both are currently slower than in 2.79 which makes some tasks very inconvenient - like defining the scatter density with GNodes / particles for any larger emitters.
youtu.be/MkZsRV7NkLI
Considering how smooth the sculpting is, I believe there is a big room for improvement in this area.
Thanks you

Olá Pablo. I have been wanting to ask about some stuff here, like the edge lenght attribute for GN, but the devs are allready on that. Or the possibility of saving (appending) assets from the current open file to another "master asset library" but when reading the dev blog post about it seams that they tought about it and not that simple. Anyway just wana say thanks for staing one step ahead. Keep doing this amazing work.
Have a nice week.
Also, congratulations on the Copa America. The way in wich my country is behaving, we deserve that loss. :/

Hi Pablo - long time viewer, first time caller!
I've been a 3D artist since 1995, and have recently switched to Blender after using various Autodesk 3D tools for years - my main tool for most of that time has been Softimage, which I always foung the most versatile and comprehensive, as well as straight forward to use, of the 3D apps. Blender is feeling very nice and getting a big thumbs up from me!
It's great to see the focus for the team is nodes. Nodes for geometry, material, - nodes everything! It reminds me of the shift Softimage made to ICE (node based system), which really opened up the ability for artists to get deeper into the software.
However, I still miss a few major elements that was available back then. Maybe I am missing something that already exists in Blender, as I am fairly new to the software.
My first one is a non-linear way of using animations, layering animations, and saving animations (was called actions in Softimage in the 'animation mixer'). A bit like the layers and moveable clips in the video editor, except that it references animations attached to models ( maybe it would be a collection in Blender).
It means you can import/re-use complex animations, layer different animations, retime and re-map animations like you would a clip in a video editor. You can nest animations and put them together in a kind of 'compound clip'
I have other questions about other elements I miss, but I will come back to those in other weeks - Mainly things like overrides on groups, or passes: Drag and drop for rearranging heirarchies and relationships between models - but I will maybe do those another time!
Thanks, and keep up the super awesome work, team Blender!!!

did you take a look at the action editor? it does exactly what you describe. if you are regarding to noding animation layers then what functionality would you want?

Hi Pablo, congratulations for the Copa America :)
I'm following every update on geometry nodes with the hope that some day we will have the possibility of creating custom attributes for each vertex/edge/face such as a custom tags and also being able to edit each one of this custom attributes individually, is it planned for the future or is it too much asking for it?. This feature would be useful for example to import external data (from an xml for instance) and edit it inside blender using the spreadsheet editor for example, something like this would make my life so much easier! not sure if there is more people asking for something like this...
thanks for streaming every week, it helps a lot. Bye!

Hi
Regarding Geometry Nodes.
As far as i know you guys are planning to put all settings onto the Node itself. Am i mistaken? If not: Dont you think there will be Nodes which will need a dedicated "properties editor"?
Greetings (:

Sup, homie? Thoughts on the material properties panel having user exposed paramaters similar to how geometry nodes handles them? That way you don't have to open lots and lots of dropdowns to get somewhere at the start of a shader.
Good show see you next week!

HI! the new physics node seems to take us one step closer to a future where we can have an internal blender game engine again.
is it just a wrong impression of mine or can we keep a little hope in our pockets?
(even tho there is no official confirmation ofc)

Hi Pablo,
Is there a geometry input node on the way?
It would really help a lot in many ways:
avoid bloated blender scene files, every geometry asset could be in a separate file, similarly to textures
better scene management overall (especially if the geo nodes will get more privilege, not just as a modifier)
deferred scene loading for massive scenes, ie in the viewport you see simplified geo and just the renderer loads the full resolution, directly from the file (aka stand-ins)
if it would be an in/out node simultaneously ( or a separate out node ) the procedurally generated geo could be written out.
indeed, even the simulation data, with multiple versions...
thus, less boring clicks in the menus / file browser, more time for creative work

Happy Monday Pablo.
I have a two part question:
I understand Blender plans to make “everything nodes” but around how many different total editors are planned? I’m aware of some of them but is there a comprehensive list?
Would it be possible to add a number slider to the radius of the proportional editing drop down in the view port? When I work with high poly meshes, it becomes hard to set the fall off range precisely because you must commit to moving a vertex first and it becomes laggy. Here's a mock up:
Hallo Pablo,
Love the streams. Excited for 3.0!!
I'm making interactive instalations and love Blender. Will live videostream ever be an input for Blender?
Have a nice day!

Hi, sorry for my spam. Maybe you can try AudVis (my add-on). Take a look on it

. If you like what you watch, I can send you a free copy. I have also a realtime video camera input. Maybe I can add support for some other inputs as you wish.

Hey Pablo, hope you are having a good day.
No huge paragraphs or anything, everything is chill and good.
Is Cycles motion blur for mantaflow coming anytime soon? This is something I use quite often and it’s a bit sad that the only way to get motion blur for fluid sim is to use the speed vector in the mesh panel and add motion blur in the compositor but still it doesn’t give the best results to be honest. So motion blur for mantaflow anytime soon?
Also, I’ve lost my words after seeing the blog post about the particles nodes and nodes for physics simulation. This is something I’ve been waiting for months and after seeing the mock-up designs, words couldn’t describe my excitement. I think back n forth between devs and community will iron out the final design but taking feedback from pro FX artists experienced in other softwares would probably be way more useful as they have real-world work experiences over hobbyists and then we’d have the best from others and the new innovative things that no one has. Best wishes to the Wizard developers.

Hello Pablo ! Are you guys planning a Point Instance node but with a geometry input instead of an object reference ? That would be very useful for making complex meshes with only one object. ^^

Hi Pablo, you talked about the new node group input/output but it still doesn't let us pick ALL the types. I made a Right Click Select post with more info on this, and a workaround using python, it would be nice if it got expanded to ALL the supported types because sometimes you want a % or a integer input, not a float etc.
Thanks :)

Hi. You showed the ability to change the group output type in geometry nodes from a dropdown. Has that also been added to node groups in the shader and compositor editors?

Hello Pablo, How are you?
I was wondering what is the current state of the Library Overrid project? It was suppose to release in 2.92 according to the roadmap.
developer.blender.org/tag/core/
. It was postponed several times since then, and now the branch doesn't seem to be updated for a few patches.

I'm curious if you have any thoughts about my RCS proposal for a possible design for the multi-type input socket for geometry nodes? (most of the length is from the further reading section; you don't have to read through all that of course.)
