Edge and Face Constraints for Transformations
As useful as edge sliding is, it's only one example of an edge constraint.
I can't for example scale an edge along the connecting edges, it will stick out of the body unless I slide them individually. Even if I try snapping it to volume.
This makes it very labour intensive to make form fitting transformations to topology.
Pressing Shift + R to repeat the last step isn't reliable in moving the vertex correctly when scaling edges. And with face constraints it gets rather complicated to move vertices around while sticking to the body of an object.
They are commonly used modelling functions available in other modelling software and are sorely missed in blender.
I had a look for similar topics but I don't see anywhere near the top lists, which is really puzzling.

It is very fundamental need and must be there for mesh manipulation, it is requested so many times but why blender devs are not implementing don't know
Just to have a smoothly increasing bevel shape forming would take a lot of manual work on a single edge, whereas with edge constraints I would be able to scale the bottom edges a bit more than the ones above and it would be done quickly.
I've found similar topics searching through the forum and I understand my post contributes to this problem, but there are hundreds of requests just in these threads here all basically asking for the same thing:

I can't find them now but I remember at least 3 or 4 others ones from last year as well that got a lot of views. Putting them all together it would make it one of the most commonly requested modeling feature.
Blender is an amazing program and we're all extremely lucky to have it. I just wish a little more attention was paid to modeling as this is really important functionality. I feel like with edge slide already working, the edge constraints is already there... I just want it to also go away from each other instead of moving together. Anything extra would be a bonus.
