Resolution (and other settings) per Camera (Optional)
A Simple Idea. An Optional switch, that allows to have settings like resolution stored per camera and switched to, when the camera is made active.
And as as a Bonus... reflect the different settings in Viewport.
Why: When you render stills or videos for different formats, Widescreen, tower and quadratic for example. It helps a lot to be able to test these formats in 3D Space.
It is useful to have multiple cameras. But you have to switch between the formats manually or via an addon.
Another bonus would be output settings per camera (Path, Dir, Fileformat etc...)
Why not making this a builtin option?

This, or similar things, have been suggested before with other ideas of an 'advanced camera system'. I agree, Blender's cameras (and lights) usability are really things that need attention.
