Will the new hair system have interpolation at some point?

Hi Pablo, hope you're well as always.
I have not so much a question as a bit of a rant.
I'm wondering why the community does not contribute more to Blender's growth? According to your blog 'Blender by the Numbers', the Blender foundation estimated there are between 1 and 3 million Blender users. Yet there are only 3,000 users actually contributing to the development fund every month- which means there isn't even 1% of Blender users who support Blender finanically. I started using Blender about 4 years ago and have donated every month since then. I have friends who don't even use Blender who actually contribute because they like what they see and want to support it. Why won't many Blender users? You asked several months ago to get the number of contributors past 3000 and only after several months did you get less than a 100 more.
Blender users want Blender to compete with commercial software but these companies make hundreds of millions in revenue to invest back into the software while Blender only operates on a few million in revenue. A lot of these same people freak out every time a company like Adobe or Intel contribute because they think its going to change Blender. Where do these users think the money comes from to support it? Really, the lowest tier to support Blender is 6 bucks a month, most people have no excuse not to contribute if they really want to see Blender prosper.

Shaming people who don't donate isn't it man. Its free and open source for a reason.

because there's no point of giving it away for free and open source if you expect everyone to pay. There are places 6 US dollars a month is a significant chunk of a normal income.
Most importantly- Blender would never have gotten as big if not everyone used it. it's free, so everyone uses it. it's free, so it's what you start learning 3D in. Because everyone uses it, it gets these big companies helping, not the other way around.

Blender is only free because some of us pay for it, that's a fact.
Why do you think Pablo and other Blender Foundation employees ask people to donate and why do they link the development fund on their social media? Because they know that without support, Blender isn't possible.

I didn't say I expected everyone to pay. But we're talking not even 1% of Blender users donate. Which is sad honestly.

it's a product of the times. This kinda stuff is very hard to monetize, and most people are only willing to pay for a tool that they actively use for an income- and even then that's eating into their profits.
I do think the donations should be more visible on the main page/beside the download button

Hey Pablo!
Are their any plans to add an attribute blur node? As someone who used Houdini and substance designer in the past, being able to blur geometry node attributes and shader node textures is incredibly useful.

There is someone who is doing work on that. But I think it's. Community member. But it should be done at some point

Not only plans, but in development, and i believe simple attribute blur is on revision.
Second of all: I resently watched a
video by Sir Wade Neistadt
where he changed the colors of the curves in Maya's graph editor to be diffferent for translate/rotate/scale. Is there something equivalent in Blender? I looked around in the themes, but it seems like you can only set the colors for an entire axis.
I think it is a necessary feature as the graph editor kinda lags behind in visibility compared to other 3D software I've used.
Please & thank you.

Hey, how are you ?
I wanted to ask about the 3.3 trailer ? I thought there should have been one, but even today... It's not there :(.
Is it maintained or is it abandonned ?
Thank you, and have a nice day

hello pablo. Are there plans for shading overhaul or at least is there any update in the works? Are we going to get some new shading nodes like blur node, flood fill, new texture generators, edge detect or warp node? Just something to bring it closer to the substance designer level. I know that many of them are technically possible to recreate in blender but sadly it requires lots of math and the brains some of us (me) don't have.

Hi there.
Some weeks ago I asked you why Light groups are done in this outdated way, instead of by marking collections as light groups, which would be consistent with everything else in blender that has anything to do with groups.
Your answer was that not all lights are objects. This makes sense, but the only other thing that causes light but isn't an object is the environment.
Why not just add a dropdown menu for Environments, in which the user could select what "Is Light group?" marked collection the environment belongs to? I think that makes a lot more sense.

Hello Pablo, I hope you are having a great day, is there any news regarding theVR/XR project? would love to use Blender for sculpting in vr and not just scene inspection. The hype for vr is growing again with the new pico headsets and the upcoming oculus event, would love to hear some news from the blender side

Hello Pablo!
How much time should i plan for the studio tour on sunday after the conference?
I will be at the conference this year for the first time, so see you there.
Exiting future with the animation workshop, realistic short film, texture painting upgrades and more geometry nodes.. Cant wait to test physics nodes..
Bonus question is what is your number one tip for lighting in blender? The scene you have to lid is a low poly nature scene.
EDIT: Hello Sergey! What's the plan for the VFX module!?
Have a nice day and now i need to book the hotel and the train..

Hola Pablo!
I made yet another feature request for better artistic handling of heavy scenes Proposal: blender.community/c/rightclickselect/DQ4q/
Also, I would like to ask if any developer has considered implementing Shader Timings, similar to another proposal of mine: blender.community/c/rightclickselect/28nW/
Thank you for everything that all of you do at Blender, I highly appreciate it!
Hello. How do you feel about this feature suggestion please: blender.community/c/rightclickselect/ngjY/
