Hello and Congratulation for #200 live show.

  • I just wonder what is the general politic of Blender office with great GreasePencil like Add-ons?

they need some help sometimes or just to be promoted.
as I know some:

Hi Pablo!

I saw recently that linux got GPU rendering support for AMD GPUs in blender, However, I have a 6950xt GPU with the latest drivers and sadly under preferences>system>Cycles Render Devices in the HIP tab I get the message;

"No compatible GPUs found for cycles. Requires a discrete AMD GPU with RDNA architecture and AMD driver version 22.10 or newer"

Am I misunderstanding this or does Blender in Linux still not support GPU rendering with AMD GPUs?

Thanks, MattyWS

Hey Pablo, can you please tell me how you negotiate with blender developers to implement right click select ideas Thank you very much in advance.

I guess the only way to make sure that your RCS idea is implemented relatively fast is to "fine, I'll do it myself" DIY.

Is there is a way to change the algorithm of Boid particles or to display it in a Boid Particle Info Node? Is something similar in development?

Crowd simulations have been one of the few things where software like autodesk Maya or Side FX Houdini has been the only alternative. With this feature it would then be possible to assign animations to them, e.g. strike when the particle attacks or falls if it is damaged. To tell Blender when he gives a particle e.g. the animation "strike" or "fall", input node could use the information Speed, Health as a number. Damaged, Climbing, Walking, Flying as 0-1 Value.
The input node alone would be such a big feature and would be easy to do in itself.

There are already suggestions on this topic, on several websites that have suggested this feature: blender.community/c/rightclickselect/Mjbbbc/

I already made a battle simulation with boids and canΒ΄t wait to see them with more actions:

Thanks in advance, Blend Creator

Hola Pablo!

Don't you think that being able to select (and drag) node links entirely, and not just by their ends, would be an extremely beneficial upgrade in usability? Especially with the Join Geometry node, it's quite hard to detach the correct link when many of them are attached to the node, and it becomes a process of guessing and trial and error. Here's a proposal that perfectly sums up what I'm saying: blender.community/c/rightclickselect/Qk6l/

Thanks for your time!

Hey Pablo, I am one of the few users of the industry compatible keybinds setting but unfortunately I feel like this option has been neglected, for instance the viewport render mode pie menu (The one that allows you to quickly switch between cycles and eevee without needing to go to the top right of the screen) isnt even available in the industry compatible keybinds. Is the industry compatable keybind mode a priority?

Hello Pablo! Since the UI change to the node rerouting, the possibility to organize node trees with sections going vertically or backwards has suffered a lot. For instance, the UI breaks from simply rerouting a noodle backwards. As much as I understand Blender favouring left-to-right trees, more complex systems don't always benefit from using only this configuration. Could this change to the UI be rethought to consider vertical or backwards rerouting, or at least an option to revert to the old behavour be avaliable? Thank you and congratulations for 200 episodes!

Are there currently any plans to overhaul Blenders UV system? Or is the current development focused mainly on Geonodes, Texturing, among others outlined in the 3.x Roadmap and Strategic targets 2022?

Any updates you can give us on simulation geo nodes? I'm dying for an open source Houdini alternative!

Hello Pablo, Congratulations on your 200th "blender today".

AliBlendArt

Hi pablo, I wanted to ask if there are any changes or improvements in the simulation section of the Blender 3.3 I reported the bug, but it seems Mantaflow (fluid simulator) has no active developer......

jaypasta

Hi! I'm shooting my shot asking if we will see a proper hair deformer for long hair to follow the body geometry rather than root position?

ilyasse.lojdi

Hey Pablo, how are you ?

Will there be a montage for 3.3 like 2.9 had ?

Have a nice day

Hey guys, congrats on the 200 Episode!

Things I wanna ask.

1: Is it possible to get some grid improvements in the 3DView where one can change the Subdivisions amount without having units set to None, and adjust the amount of grids instead of scaling it.

2: Having a line and cursor/arrow on when using Snap options, and CAD like transforms

3: Any support on Pie Menus having more then 8 menus?

4: Letting Addon's access the Correct Face Attributes option in BMesh/Python API.

Hope you get to answers these, Thanks from Australia.

Prince_Of_Sloth

Hola blender devs,

Has development on geonodes helped improve other areas of blender?

Gracias.

Blender_Defender

A new way to use the transform tools: Gizmodal Ops has been released recently. What do you think?
