Change for the sake of Change

Recently I've started looking at Blenders theme creation, and like everything else in blender its a tad overly complex to navigate, so i thought i would put together a complete guide in OneNote, so that creating themes would be a lot simpler, now, because ive had issues with blender not saving the preferences file correctly, i.e if i change the theme and then go back to the factory defaults then save that as the start up file, upon starting blender it goes back to the edited theme, so i decided to download several versions of blender (3.6, 4.1 and 4.2) so i could work on different versions. what puzzles me is why the Devs felt it necessary to change the order of the list in 3.6 to 4.2 as well as changing the location of the themes button in the edit preferences window, this has literally makes no sense , so please Mr Developers can you just leave well alone. Also while I'm on this rant, could the developers make sense of the theme options, because at this point in time that theme editor is possibly one of the most ridiculous and unnecessarily complex features in Blender, with the amount of options in the theme editor a little organisation should be in place by now, to change the order of the options making zero difference to anything isn't a good look for the Blender foundation. If you look closely you'll notice that now all widgets (from Box to Value Slider ) are sorted in alphabetical order. They used to be sorted at random (things that naturally go together like Menu , Menu Item were separate, now they are grouped).

This is not really a proposal just a rant. Feel free to make a proper proposal on how to improve the editor. It is well overdue for some love.
